DevOps brought massive efficiency, consistency and reliability to the craft of operating technology infrastructure. Public cloud delivered a utility based "pay as you go" model to technology buying with nearly unbounded supply. The combination of the two has created a perfect storm in terms of how businesses consume technology and how that consumption needs to be managed. This talk will discuss the emerging complexity resulting from the convergence of cloud and DevOps and will highlight consumption trends over time across billions of data points from Amazon Web Services, Google Compute Platform and Microsoft Azure.
